Now I am aware that there some folk out there who struggle with some of the taller bikes. Especially the slightly older bikes before you could get lowering seats etc. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-55146906
I laughed at that photo, Going from 5'4" to 5'7" Looking at the way the photo is taken you would have thought he had gained 12" in height, not just the 3" Remember that story of the teen girl that was so emotionally upset and her mental health was so poor because she was too short to be able to become an air hostess, she went through the leg lengthening process BBC News "Emma Richards underwent a six-hour operation in January 2000 to increase her height from 4ft 9in to 5ft 2in." Daily mail Hmm, my memory isn't as bad as I thought it was since it was 20 years ago
BMW used to have a "seat height configurator" on their website, where you could put in your height, inside leg and waist measurement and it would show you as an avatar and tell you what you could ride. Or that was the theory. Unfortunately it wouldn't accept that it was possible for a 5'10" man to have a 28" inside leg, so the only way it would accept my leg measurement was if I lied about my height. A 28" inside leg was only acceptable to the German site designer if I said I was only 5'5". Add in my 42" waist and the site presented back an image that looked like Cartman from Southpark and told me that I was incapable of riding any of their motorbikes. Which was a surprise as I had 3 of them in the garage.
