Had my Bonneville [Hinckley] pipes professionally cleaned over the winter and they looked brilliant, like new. Of course they have now yellowed/tarnished. Unsure what is the best product to use to clean the yellowing up, any thoughts people?
Harpic power plus. try not to get on the paintwork and use gloves. Brush on, leave a few mins then rinse off. A quick buff with solvol is then all that's needed. No mad scrubbing like before. Just google "Harpic exhausts".
Nobody more fussy than me about paint, but I have not had a problem. The time I leave it on there does no harm but takes the hard work out of it.
I wouldn't use steel wool. It'll leave fine scratches on SS. I have used this product on my SS headers and you can see for yourself the results.
