Spring Startup

As winter is nearly upon us LOL, I am thinking about what I will need to do getting the Speed Twin ready for hibernation. Question: my bike sits in a remote lock up that has no power and therefor I will be taking the battery out and trickle charging over the winter. When I put the battery back in will everything automatically set itself? The bike has a Data tool alarm fitted as well.
