Thought this was worth sharing? I bought a pair of RST boots recently from SPORTSBIKESHOP and after my first run out with them 2 days ago I noticed that the sole under the toe slider on the right boot had worn down quite significantly, the slider had been misaligned on that one boot (other boot was perfect) and was sitting too high (hadn't noticed this beforehand), anyway contacted sportsbikeshop and explained the problem and that same day they dispatched a new pair to me and sent me a return slip to send the damaged boots back, I was honestly expecting them to have me return the boots first for inspection before agreeing to replace, but they took my word for it. I honestly thought this was just incredible customer service and can't sing the company's praises highly enough. I have bought lots of stuff over the years from them, jackets, helmets, boots etc and have always had great service with next day delivery etc, but this I thought was just above and beyond, absolutely amazing.
I've had excellent service from them also. Problems can't be helped but what differentiates good retailers from bad is how it's handled and they excel on that. I get fed up reading glowing reviews about retailers when all they've had to do is post an item. Hardly a measure of customer service. Not long ago I needed a two pairs of gloves, a summer pair and an all season pair. I was very particular about the fit and wanted to get it sorted quickly. Sportsbike Shop allowed me to have around £1400 worth of gloves at home at once to find the two pairs I wanted, which I did, and then return the unwanted pairs. Credit card refund was handled swiftly so I never noticed the transaction on my next bill. Problem with a jacket also meant they gave me a loan jacket to use. They never get it wrong, unlike others.
Always brilliant. The only downside is they've opened an outlet in Bletchley so affecting our sales just down the road in Woburn,
Had a similar experience with a crash helmet, great to deal with, Also have nothing but good things to say about Woburn Triumph as well Rich.
Same experience here. Last year I ordered a Merlin wax coat. It didn't fit so I sent it back and had the right size at home in Belgium within 7 working days without any problem. Great service and always superfriendly and helpful on the phone!
I purchased a Lithium Ion battery from them last week and it was DOA, I rang them and they said it should be fully charged and sent me a returns slip and said they will send a replacement ASAP. Great Service and I will be using them again
Ordered a Ghost Drift X from them last week it was here within two days discounted and even price matched great company to deal with camera is very good also.
I too agree with the sportsbikeshop being brilliant. I went to the boston store to get some gloves and it turned out, the ones i wanted had only 1 pair remaining and that was on the shop floor (as a try on pair). So, i took the single one to the counter and a lovely helper said "as they have been worn, (tbh, you couldn’t tell) how about half price?" As she pointed out, she said "that only one has actually been worn and if you buy the unused one, i'll give you the used one free!" As it was also on sale anyway, £120 gloves ended up at £40.
Not used these guy's, but based on their feedback when I need something I will definitely give them a try....
Having just returned to biking after a few years away, I needed quite a bit of gear to get going again. Agree Sportsbikeshop is excellent for service and price so 9/10 from me. I just wish that they'd put some packing in with the boxed products they dispatch - some shredded cardboard or paper rather than plastic would be great. Alarming to hear a £150 new helmet (in its own box it's true) rattling about in the larger box along with other odds and ends. Courier with that particular consignment, chucked it over my tall side gate, a good ten feet to my back door. Nothing damaged, but sounded awful when I picked the box up and shook it!
Dinny, I think you should speak to them about that, as having a helmet thrown around is not good even if it is in a couple of boxes. There is nothing they can do about the couriers, but they may well package them better
It may be worth sending an email to Sportsbikeshop highlighting your experience and suggesting about the paper packing. Their customer service is great and they may take your suggestions onboard to improve their service to others, and yourself in future.
wouldn't use any one else buying helmets and clothing without trying it on is always a bit hit or miss. but their delivery and returns policy is second to none.
