test ride on a Speed Twin today!

97 Bhp, apparently. Certainly a LOT more grunt than the Street Twin I rode last week, but a very “busy” feeling bike somehow. I don’t see why any bike with that much pull needs a 6 speed gearbox. Somehow the Street Twin is still my preference...

I’m told it has the engine map from the Thruxton, but lower gearing, which adds to the “busy” feel.. the bike I ride last week had the Fox rear units, which were a GREAT improvement.

So for my money, it’s still the 900 Street Twin, by a short head over the T100..

For what its worth I really love my 2018 Street Twin. Plenty of power and easy to ride.

Forgot to mention that the cast wheels and tubeless tires are a must (versus spoked wheels and tube tires on the T100. Can't fix a roadside flat on the T100.
