Sad day, waved goodbye to my Speed Twin, a mate bought it and he will enjoy it. I offered it to a couple of dealers in part/ex for a new 900 or a new/old stock "fully loaded" 800, still being advertised by Triumph. I had 3 dealers looking for a suitable bike, but I missed the boat, they have all been sold. And so I will keep my 2018 pre TFT screen XR until at least Spring next year. It's such a comfortable ride and plenty enough power for me and the wife.
Will give Triumph time to iron out any niggles in the intervening period plus there will be some good deals by then. I shall be interested to hear post 1 year views on engine reliability, vibes and one front lamp of the two operating at a time.
