Dear all in forum. I'm a new member to this site, but have owned an 06 speed triple 1050 for 2 1/2 years. I love the bike, but I'm about to fit my THIRD starter motor. When I first had the bike, the dreaded sprag clutch went and was duly replaced. From then, I have fitted a new battery which is fine and charges perfectly and is trickle charged over the winter. However, the starter has now stripped its splines for the third time. My worry is that it's just going to happen again and I don't know why. The sprag gear is in perfect condition, all the damage is to the starter shaft. Can anyone advise as to what is happening here. Kind regards, Tim.
