Speed Triple's do not yet have LED headlights?

I see the Daytime running light is LED, but the main headlight is Halogen H4.

I just assumed the entire thing was LED these days... woops :D

I just bought some from Ledperf.co.uk for my 2017 Speed Triple R, was just about to put a post up asking if anyone had fit them before?

I decided not to do it myself. Too worried of excessive heat melting the plastic lenses/housing. Also, two headlights are a very good light source as is. I am interested to hear how this works out for you though.

Do you leave the rear housing seals off for heat dissipation?

    No, they are on.
If you leave them off, you’ll run the risk of condensation getting in so it's not worth it IMHO.
The leds have a very good/large heat sink on them so i've never had an issue.

The heat has to go somewhere, and if inclosed has me worried. How long have you had them in place?

3 months. No issues for me.
I suppose it depends what you’re comfortable with.
I had the same thoughts and was constantly checking but as there was nothing happening, i stopped bothering.
Why not run them with the cover off and then see if you’re happy with the temp, and then try on?

Triumph just warrantied my lenses, they developed hairline cracks. I'd kick myself if I put those in and melted them lol. I just don't have have issues with the factory setup, but have used LED before on my previous bike. LED are great.

You don’t HAVE to but I tried without doing that but I found it easier to just undo the 4 bolts. Only takes 20 mins all in.
Don’t have to remove anything else (putting the rubber grommets back in takes a smidge of wd btw).
