    Hi all,

I'm new here, hoping for a little advice.

I have a recently got a 2002 Speed triple 955i. I have stripped the swingarm out, to give it a spruce up. Reassembling the drag link to the frame, I have noticed a couple of mm of play side to side. I have fitted the 1mm thrust washer each end of it (inside the frame), but the play seems excessive. Has anyone else noticed this?

it feels like I'm missing spacers

The thrust washers are in yellow below, and the one to the left fits under the bolt head.

    Cheers guys! :)

What happens is the sleeves, bearings and spacers wear over time, and these early models do just that, remember it is over 2 decades of age. Sprint Manufacturing do a rebuild kit, look on their website (I used a rebuild kit of them recently), you will need a bearing removal/installation tool to do it correctly, don't try drifting them out/in, the needle rollers easily dislodge and the case likewise is easily deformed, you can easily make up a tool yourself, it is real easy to do. This will eliminate any excessive play.
