first ride this morning on the speed master first 5 minutes thought I had made a terrible and expensive mistake didn't like it at all wobbling round the bends thought I was going to drop it and I kept getting my feet tangled up on the controls.
stuck with it I was out for about hour and half at the end it felt really nice I was actually chucking it round the bends a bit.it handles fine I was riding it wrong to start with kept thinking I was on my triple I was going down through the box coming into the bends and then it was just over revving
there is so much torque just keep it in any gear and open the throttle overall happy with it another session and I will have it cracked

It sounds like you're reluctantly being seduced by her charms.

I had the opposite experience. I came off an 800lb Victory Touring Cruiser. I was immediately struck by how nimble the Speedy is. Although the TC handled well for a big bike I was amazed by how well behaved the Speedmaster is. I've never been on a sport bike, so I have no point of reference regarding how a crotch rocket performs in the curves, but the Speedmaster made it feel like I had been dragging an anchor on the big Vic.

    Lots of luck with her.

Enjoy that new Speedmaster, @bob1. I've found that when I'm used to a bike, riding a different one can be a bit "discomBOBulating". ;) But it sounds like it didn't take too long--even on your first ride--to start to know and love your new bike. Enjoy it! :)
