Hi all, can anyone recommend a bike friendly hotel/bnb near to Santander, looking for somewhere to stay just one night before heading down towards Valencia. Cheers.

There's no secure parking and it might be in the wrong direction but I've stayed in this place in Potes. The owner is wonderfully mad and welcoming speaks great English too. You can park the bike on the path out front of the hotel without any worries. It sits right at the end of the San Glorio Pass, which is one of the best roads you can ride and to get there you have to do the panes to potes road.

Potes itself is a stunning little village. It could well be worth the detour, but then again there are so many great roads in the north of Spain.

It depends on what time you're getting off the boat.
We didn't get off until after 8 pm and had booked a hotel fairly close to Santander, some who went straight to Potes didn't arrive until 10.30 pm.We didn't want to ride in the dark.
I assume you're after something similar.
The hotel we stayed in was a bit "Nouvelle"

Just had a look and it was Las Abadias.
One night stopover on route from Potes to Broto.
