We,re off to Comillas today for 1 week, bike is loaded up and ready.
Exploring the Picos area is top of our agenda, but no fixed plan other than ferry times and a casa rented for the week.
I'll try to photo the loaded up bike and post it but I'm not good with cameras so quality won't be good.

Fantastic time, Picos and the general area all well worth the effort.
Weather perfect, casa ditto, nothing not to like.
I am now attempting to put up some of my cheap phone photos, not sure they will appear though.........

    Hi Jack,
straight out of a Jack Reacher book that, sorry!
We rented a casa that was high above the town, only a five minute walk out of the town but very, very steep.
The beach was excellent and we swam every day there for heat relief.
The local buildings are very interesting and the Antonio Gaudi connection is well worth time looking into, El Capricho in particular.
As you say Picos are good, the N621 is a super road and goes on and on, to be quite honest it left me a little rock bound and slightly claustrophobic at the end of the day!
Potes is a lovely old town, so many bikes going through the place!
We wanted to ride the cable car at Fuente De, some considerable time spent queueing waiting for your numbers to come up though, nice ride and views / walks at the top made it all worthwhile we thought.
San Vicente de la Barquera was nice in a touristy way, the river and bridges were interesting with superb views approaching along the N634 from Pesues.
Santillana was nice and the beach at Suances was superb.
Had a ride around Cabezon, Rionansa, El Maso, Pesues, San Vicente and back to Comillas, some good roads and fantastic views.
Had an interesting time with the sat nav, the adventurous routes can, as has been said on this forum, take you along some quite, shall we say interesting roads, some of which I declined to use!
One week simply isn't enough, all in all a great holiday, didn't spend a fortune and enjoyed every minute.
