It is bad enough getting blinded by the 180mega watt front lights and helmet lights they now use when they are on the other side of the road but on the same side blinded drivers would be mowing them down in their hundreds.

 

Just BAN The feckers

It would work.
Cos when they have cycled for a few miles and watched these cars coming towards them at 60mph they will realise how fing stupid they have been, and never go on busy roads again.Hard headed muppets.

 

Cyclists and motorcyclists are not exclusively different people.

Don’t think I would use that emphasis, would kinda give the wrong impression in my case.

 

I'm a bus driver and can I ask when you last read the headline, " Bicycle collides with Bus". You have obviously decided that the risk is worth it. Have you considered the mental health of the driver who wipes out a cyclist, Every Day for the rest of his life he wakes up and says " I killed a guy". Peace.

 

Like most things/people all groups are let down by the (hopefully minority) of morons who pursue the hobby and these are used as the example for the hobby and the rest suffer for it.

 

I've often thought that motor racing could be made more exciting if half the drivers went clockwise and half the drivers went anti-clockwise...

Even if your idea were adopted, it would arguably make things worse as the bikes and motorised vehicles would regularly have to stop facing each other if it were not possible for the motorised vehicle to pull out to pass. Now the motorised vehicle simply has to slow down and be patient.
