New member here looking into getting the new 765. Only problem is I am a short rider and weigh about 115#. My inseam is about 28 inches. I visited a dealer and sat on the "Low" R model and I can barely tip toe both feet. As far as I know the suspension is at the factory setting and it didn't even seem to "sag" or compress when I sat on it.

So my question is, how much difference do the compression adjustments make and would Triumph be able to get me a spring with a softer spring rate? If not do I just find a spring with the same dimensions and swap them out?

Also how much more foam can I remove from the "Low" seat?

    Hi and welcome,

Most bikes seem to come set for riders around 12 stone (168 lbs).
You can buy different springs for the shock, you can also reduce the pre-load on the standard spring by undoing the locking ring and using a 'C' spanner to turn the collar anti-clockwise. You can also adjust the compression and rebound damping to better suit your weight and attain the desired sag when you sit on the bike.

I am 16 stone (224 lbs) so had to increase the spring compression in order to suit me, modern bikes suspension have plenty of adjustment to help the rider achieve correct sag and feel.
If you are not confident in doing the adjustment then the dealer or a suspension set up specialist should be able to help.

Hope you find something that works for you because the 765 is a very good bike, good luck.

    Billy
