He asked to be removed, along with all his posts and threads. He is not banned, and I told him he is welcome to return anytime. No longer enjoyed taking part, and in particular the Brexit thread. But as I choose, no-one needs to go into that particular hell-hole. He wishes everyone well.
MrOrange If you speak to him do tell him he will be missed. I just stay clear of Brexit we will we won't. Don't really care just thank God I got my bike and my freedom to ride. Regards Joe.
The feeling when reading the title of the thread you think ''Oh no, Smilinjack died. Poor chap. RIP". And then you open the thread and realize, "Well, he just quit the forum". Priceless!!
Politics and religion - probably the two most divisive and dangerous subjects ever invented. I looked at the 'brexit' thread once and decided to leave well alone. Edit:- Sorry to see Smilinjack has left. Hope he returns sometime soon.
Yes, it is all a little bit severe. But he must have his reasons, which have to be respected I suppose.
Does anyone else get that prickly feeling on the back of your neck when something totally terrible happens and you wonder, ever so slightly, if it maybe had something to do with what you said/did earlier? I merely ask out of curiosity...
Well, I hit "agree" because I'm very sorry to see Smilinjack go. But not because I looked at the 'brexit' thread. We've got enough total wackiness here in the U.S to add fretting about brexit to the crazy house. Come back, Smilin Jack!
Well that's a shame, having met smilinjack at Cadwell this year I found him to be an interesting and amusing character, I have also enjoyed reading his threads, I for one will miss him, hopefully he'll come back at some point in the future. On another note, I am now starting to worry , of the 4 Forum members that turned up to Cadwell, 2 have now left the fold, and thinking about it I haven't seen any posts by @Eldon lately , just checked and @Yorkshireman is still around . Don't want any panic to spread that the BBR camper is the UK equivalent to the Bermuda Triangle!
Nah, you don’t get rid of me that easily Billy, the bike might be up for sale but I love the forum so I’ll stick around. I met Al (@Smilinjack) a couple of times, once on a ride into Derbyshire and again at Cadwell and I’m as surprised as anyone that he’s gone but I know his favourite cafes so our paths may cross again. Best of luck for this weekend BTW. Remember those few points needed to boost your position in the table
Stevethegoolie You forgot football. Used to long time ago in my drinking days when I was out with friends. If football came up I used to leave. Next day sure enough some one would have a black eye. Simple reply no need to ask how you got it. Regards Joe.
Glad to hear it Andy! When the Speedie is sold, what is going to fill the space in your garage then? Thanks for the good luck etc, will do my best at the weekend!
Peeps. Maybe time to put this one to bed SmilinJack has gone reasons unknown but it is his decision and I respect that. No need to explain his reasons especially not to me. I just wish him every happiness and hope all his future roads may be good ones and may he always find a breeze to his back. In the same note if he ever needs a Bro then I will be there as I'm sure will all the lunatics on here. SmilinJack if you perhaps read this Goodbye God bless. Remember us all. Ride Free And Keep Smiling. Joe
