Thanks for posting the pictures, must admit the smaller plate does look significantly better :)

Size is dependant on the registration number as well as the characters. All letters and numbers must be 44mm wide except for the number 1 although the spacing must be the same. In this example it is narrower than if the last number was for instance 2 .
    I hope this helps.

You can cut down the width and height of your plate as long as the side and top and bottom margins are 11mm or greater.
Number plate printers use standard size blanks for their own convenience.

    If that’s right by my measurements that’s 228 mm (9”) wide and 161mm (6.5 ) tall.

Fortunately my registration has the number 1 in the top row and therefore I have cut it down to 194 mm wide.

It's good to see that this topic is getting alot of interest now :D.

I would just like to say thank you to all the people that have made recent orders!

Sorry if I missed some questions aimed towards me - it's been pretty busy recently despite the news on Corona Virus :worried:

With regards to cutting the plate down; do you still have the BS number on your plate? If you have physically cut down a larger plate and don't have the BS number in the bottom right anymore you may be fined if you're ever stopped - stupid i know!

Arrggh, most of the BS number has been cut off. Everyday is a learning day.

Picked up another plate from JDM for my other bike.
This is the difference in size between against the one that was supplied with the bike and it's 100% legal.
Looks much better in my opinion...……...
