Hi, Just ordered a speed triple 1200rs and my dual sided paddock stand isn't going to work so well. can anyone advise whether the new 1200rs takes the same pin diameter as the previous models?

    Many thanks :)

New one is about 40mm similar to some Ducati models. Ducati stands are stupid money ...

Abba stand OK but fiddly IMO rear stand loads easier to use. Less risk of accidents

1200RS rear padock stand pin is 40mmin dia. The PITA part is having to remove the hub nut locking spring clip thingy to get the stand spindle in then refit it after removing the stand.

Alternatively, as I have just done, spent 15mins with a dremel or equivalent and cut a groove in the paddock stand spindle to accomodate the securing spring clip protrusion. Works a treat.

I have also noticed that the rear wheel nut torque is now a massive 230Nm compared to 1050RS 146 Nm . My torque wrench only goes up to 150Nm so just as well I am not in the market for a 1200RS :).

I'd guess that if you're paying upwards of £15,000 for a new Speed Triple then dropping £50 on a torque wrench is no big deal?

On the picture it's 40,6 mm and on my invoice 40,7 is mentioned, so lots bigger than the previous model.

Does somebody know where to find a auxiliary cable /plug or something to connect a usb socket?? (Don't want to connect it to the battery directly. Lifted the tank today can't find anything / a blue marked wire.)

    Hi,

i have a Rs1200 and got that paddock stander.

I put the option for the triumph and the one that came is the 40,6. Fit perfectly in the bike.

I can take some photos (only Thrusday forward) of the paddock stand with the bike if necessary.

    Regards,
