I have a 2011 T100 and have always noted that when on its side stand the bike leans over at a fair old angle. Not a problem in the garage as I use a block of wood but when out and about if on a bit of a slope can need a fair bit of effort to lift it upright. Anyone know if a blog on foot or similar that could reduce the lean angle?

used to think the same about my 2007 speedmaster, does make it hard on a steep camber rd to get upright, especially if you have short legs!!

Somebody might have swapped stands as both the cast wheel and T100 laced wheel models have totally different side stands

Not a bonnie but still relevant, I think.

I've just fitted one of those larger kick stand extension feet on my tiger. Bought one of the Chinese £5 jobs ( inc postage ).
It arrived in just under a month. Better quality than I expected. Thought for a fiver it was worth a punt.

Anyhoo, the point is my lean angle was perfect before I fitted said jobbie. Now it's a bit too upright on the side stand. Should help a lot on your bonnie. Definitely worth a go, just depends on how much you want to pay for one. :)

Mine leans at an angle, and have been thinking of doing something to improve it,but as yet haven’t come up with a solution.
Ah well, plenty of time to decide now.

Thanks that's the sort of thing I was thinking about. Way things are looking I may well have time to make something like this myself

Mate has a home made one on his BMW twin - it ended up about the size of a 2oz tobacco tin lid - ugly as an ugly thing but it allows him to park his bike on soft verges where others can't unless they've been carrying a suitable bit of wood.

Finally got around to modifying the lean angle on my T100.
Drilled through the side stand foot and bolted on a junior hockey puck, this gives a 20mm thick foot under the stand.

    Interesting!
How does it look when the stand is folded away Dave?

Doesn't look to bad, the puck is 60mm dia so only sticks out the side by about 10mm.
If it becomes a problem could possibly cut it down to match the stand foot

That looks neat and could be the answer.
I’ll have a serious look at that.

Reminds me of the side stand on the Commando 850 I used to own back in the late 70's, the angle of lean, length of the stand, in fact everything about it used to fill me with dread!

Just found a problem with hockey puck idea!
If you have the side stand up and then take the bike off the main stand the main stand will then stop the side stand from being lowered.
Tried shaping the puck to match the foot on the side stand but the problem is the thickness of the puck fouling the main stand.
So will have to live with it and remember to put the side stand down first, which is what i would normally do anyway.
Back onto ebay now to buy another puck (good job they are only £4)

My bike leaned too much for my taste with the standard suspension eight. It's now 2,5 cm lowered and the angle is fine.
But on the central stand is a bit more difficult to lift the bike.
