I’m soon setting off on a long European tour with my wife as a pillion and plenty of luggage.
I was wondering if anyone has measured and adjusted rear suspension sag to accommodate extra weight and what the procedure is and correct measurements are?

    Thanks in advance

    What adjustment do you have?
    Preload?
    Rebound?
    Commpression?
What do you have on the front and the back?
    How much do you weigh?
    And the wife?
    And the luggage?
Do you have the factory settings for the bike?

    Also,
How long have you had the bike?
    Mileage?
Service history? ( the real one, not the box tick stamp one).
I would want to check and grease bearings, hub, chain, axle bolts, swing arm bearings.
Air and oil filters new oil.
    Tyres. etc.

I’m after the factory settings, I don’t know what they are.
I’ve owned the bike around 9 month. It has a little under 8000 miles on the clock and has a full service history.
Once I have my panniers loaded up I’ll get me and the wife to sit on the bike and get a third party to do the measuring and adjust accordingly.
The bike was serviced back in November and is getting MOT’d tomorrow so requires little maintenance before we set off.
