Howdy - I just bought a new Scrambler 1200 XE and joined the forum today. I have not owned a motorcycle in 15 years (last bike was a KLR 650), but I have been evaluating the new 1200 XE for a year now and finally pulled the trigger and brought her home yesterday. I am probably not the target demographic for this bike being a 60 year old backcountry bush pilot, but this thing just checked all the boxes for me. You can check my YouTube channel (FlyingMuleRider) for future rides and adventures! Any ideas or suggestions are always appreciated. Looking forward to exploring Montana on the bike this summer - Safe Riding - FlyingMuleRider (Dave) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuL3t1eroQXOTxq0Vz6m9_Q/videos
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome - it has actually warmed up to above 40 degrees here in Montana so I think I will take the new scooter out for its first ride here locally! Ride Safe- Dave
Wotcha Geezer and welcome. Can you get the Trumpet on the plane, land, off load and ride the, is it called the back country? Then all aboard again and home. Cowboy country scrambling
FlyingMuleRider Welcome to the family. Cool steed there thanks for sharing. Great intro. You should fit right in here in the asylum. Joe.
Thanks guys - I only have 100 miles on her so far. Still a bit cool here in Montana, but that will change soon enough!
I love Montana, beautiful state. Look forward to seeing pictures of the Scrambler out and about. I have friends who used to live in Bozeman.
