Scrambler Scrambler 400x Engine Oil Leak

Hello.

I bought a Scrambler 400x, and with less than 500 miles on it, the engine started to leak on top of the cylinder. I sent it back to the dealer, and after a month, I got the bike back. But it is still leaking. It seems the fix was just to add some shims to align the two blocks and a new gasket. So now the bike has been sent back to the dealer.

To me, it is a defective unit, and I should get a new one.

Let's see how it goes, and I will keep you posted.

I've got the bike back. The cylinder was replaced. There may have been some porosity in the material, so the decision was to replace the entire cylinder. I've put a few miles on it, and it's not showing any problems at the moment. Let's see how it goes in the coming weeks.
