For multiple reasons I have decided to keep Scarlett.

To start with the help of @Dozers Dad I was able to order the LSL handlebar conversion kit. Although it is on a 2-3 week back order it will be here, so says the vendor. :)

Secondly, with the help of @Adie P I have some fork seals coming from the UK so right now my sweat heart has no front end.

Finally, the issue that has brought all this about to begin with, my back.

I have made 2 trips to a chiropractor, which I hate, and he says there is hope.
I have 7 vertebrae fused together in my back. He was able to break some of them loose and now I have less back pain.
My neck was compressed in an old MC accident and also has fused disk which does no hurt but causes loss of range of motion.

The lower back is the worst. I have about 20% left of the last disk in my lower back and that is what is causing the severe hip pains.
It is pinching the sciatica nerve.

So here is a couple X-rays and the red shit is bad stuff. But he does feel he can get me back on a bike.
    Yay chiropractor.

    Ron.
I know I have not been in contact lately. But I have been following your topics. I am glad you can keep your pride and joy especially as you were her saviour and restorer. Great to hear you have a lot of hope. But i say the same to you as I said to Sandi T. Take it one day at a time knowing you will get back there. Don't be Ron for a while and try not to rush the recovery Mate. We are all here for you and share your pain.
    God Bless
    Joe.

Happy to hear you have had a change of heart. Also, consider decompression therapy (ask Chiropractor). Worked for my lovely wife.

Is it just me, or does Scarlett look pretty cool without a front end... a bit like you got a Star Wars speeder or something under the covers.
Good luck with your back dude... hope you get riding again soon.

Great news Ron, and well done @DD and @AdieP for HAFB (helping a fellow biker). I hope you get yourself back into good physical shape real soon, it would have been a very sad day for you to part with Scarlett after all the effort you put in to get her back on the road rescuing her from the scrap pile.
Just one thing dude, don’t leave them callipers hanging on the hydraulic lines, secure them to the bike so the weight of the callipers is taken off the lines.;)

Great news Ron, you & Scarlet are meant to be, remember the first time your eyes ran over her sat under a tree in the junkyard? It was love at first sight & you knew it. All the trials & tribulations getting her back to the road, and she is a thing of beauty again because of you!
Wow! Got a bit carried away there didn’t I? :p Just pleased you are keeping her mate.

Ron Like a lot of us, we are all riding in the hope that this ain't our last ride. Your chiropractor has at least given you hope, so keep believing and it will happen.
There are a whole load of folks on here rooting for you:)

I can empathise mate, severe back pain that then travels into hip & beyond is not nice. Experienced it myself recently & still suffering to a degree, here’s hoping the treatment continues to improve your situation mate.
