HI I was messing about yesterday under the seat of my 2018 Tiger 1200 xrt and found that I could power my satnav with the usb under the rear seat,i assume this is the diagnostics plug, has anybody tried this or is this a no no.

Diagnostic plug is usually a multipin affair.
If the usb plug is powered go for it but if it still has power when ignition is switched off make sure you disconnect it as the satnav mounts can still draw power even if the satnavs removed

Be aware that if you're using the USB power lead to power a GPS, the connection won't be waterproof at either end.
