Just started the other day, not sure what might have caused it but wondered if there is anything a mechanically stupid person (me) can try out? The bike seems to be riding ok, still going like off a shovel, no unusual noises (other than the ones I keep imagining I hear).
EUREKA !!!! Tried the 3 heat cycles with my Bonnie, 2011 T100 and low and behold, the light went out. Many thanks to Joe Mc Donald for that tip.
Has the battery been disconnected or gone flat, this will cause the problem, you can get a hand held diagnostic reader for about£15 to clear the light and also diagnose problems. Hope this helps.
these eng Management lights come on fore anything I bought a code reader and just cancel it for no reason the oxy censor displayed on the code reader cancelled it and no problem now very annoying as you have to keep removing the seat for no reason
No you remove the seat so you can clear the fault. This saves the mil light from burning out ! And then where would we be without a working warning light ! PMSL cheers capt
I prefer the diagnose the problem form the symptom approach rather than the oh shit there is an idiot light showing cant use it must take it to the dealer and get charged a fortune for turning off the phantom CEL and tell the customer it was a faulty sensor....sorry feeling rather cynical this morning.
I'm a bit confused about these faults lights. If there is no apparent fault, why would they come on? I don't seem to be able to find a link directly relating to the picture of the FOXWELL OBD II as it appears twice in the comment above. What's the diference between that and the one I found with the same name?
