Hi all, thought I'd post my problem and see if anyone else has it or had it too....

What it is... the wife's sister....

Ha ha ha seriously though, my 2011 Speed Triple bogs down below 2000rpm is a bit hesitant up to 4000rpm then goes like a rocket

If I try to pull away from the lights slow or saddling in traffic I get to around 2k and slipping the clutch it just doesn't want to go so I have to give it a fistfull to get going

Then up to 4k is poor unless I'm on a lot of throttle

Bike is standard, standard tune, O2 turned on, adaptations reset, no engine lights or fault codes etc.etc. and it still does it....

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Errrr Id say since i had it...

It was overwhelming down low when I got it as it had the Arrow map on it and when I loaded the standard map it was noticeable

Starting to bug me now.....Just wondered if anyone with a standard 2011+ S3 had the same ?

Oh yeah...if I turn off the O2 it's exactly the same...

Could there be a problem with the map you downloaded? try reloading the arrow map :)

    I thought that....

I've posted in S3 section asking someone with a 2011+ S3 ABS and standard map to see what they are running

Looking at it again the F/L switch from MAP to TPS fuel map is at 4% throttle...

I was wondering if my MAP sensor is a bit dodgy and giving false readings but the throttle balance gives good readings when checking it ?

Might try and get another and give it a go if I can't find anything else...

Thought I'd try to eliminate the MAP sensor first....

Swapped it for the Barometric sensor under the seat in my lunch break

See if the ride home from work is any better later

Sensor swap didn't make any difference....

Looking this morning I did notice the stepper motor didn't have a gap to the throttle arm and the TPS voltage was a bit high (0.65v) so I shall reset them tomorrow hopefully.....

While I'm in it that far I'll check all the MAP tubes for cracks....

    UPDATE.....

Riding to work today the bike was brilliant, low down bogging gone....nice and smooth all through the rev range and the throttle not acting like a 2 stage switch

    What did I do ?

As previously stated I did the Stepper Motor/Idle Control Valve test through Tuneecu...

It told me the GPS voltage was out then told me the Stepper Motor voltage was a bit out, then proceeded to calibrate/set itself

I then reset adaptations and did the 12 minute reset

    Hey Presto !

Fingers crossed it continues to work :D

    Well done Jody.
I love TuneECU and the ease of which it interfaces with the bike.
Luckily my bike is behaving itself but will bear this in mind should it start bogging at low rpm
