Hello. New here so BE NICE!
I have a 890 smt for twice weekly commute but its to wide and does not pass look back test. I ride m25 and m4 30 miles each way, will a RR kill my mid 50 Yr old body?
    TIA

Hi and welcome, depends on your fitness, height, size etc I would think - the only way to know is to go and sit on one / test ride one.

Hi Creamy  do you use it purely to commute or for fun too? Tbh if it's only twice weekly for 30 miles each way then it's not really going to be too arduous but if you are looking for comfort then as Mrs Visor says there are just too many variables for anyone to be able to state what you find comfortable or bearable without a lot more information. What riding position works best for you would be a good start to rule in or out various bikes.
