Where the Wolds meet the sea
Its with great sadness that I heard of the death of Derek Archer, who was killed in an RTA whilst out riding his Triumph bike last Wednesday (30 April). Derek was a regular at Seaways Cafe in Fridaythorpe on the Yorkshire Wolds. A passionate biker. He was one of those people that (if you went to Seaways regularly) either you knew him personally or you knew of him. A super chap, who had time for everyone, He knew his bikes and was a great friend to many. I actually hadn't seen him for a while, the last time was probably in early March at Seaways when he was there in his car with his little dog . I wasn't a close friend, but I'd like to think I was a good acquaintance of his and the biking community has lost a dear colleague. Rest in peace mate.
