Rip David Mccallum

I must be getting old; another fond part of my childhood has died. I loved The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as a child (and being a little blondie) I always wanted to be Illya Kuryakin; Napoloeon Solo was always impressively suave but Illya was the cool, thoughtful one.

So many great roles over the years, The Great Escape, Colditz, Sapphire & Steel and NCIS to name a few. My family are big fans of NCIS and we were all very fond of Ducky. There was a lovely scene in a past series of NCIS where I think its McGee asks Gibbs "I wonder what Ducky looked like when he was younger?", Gibbs came straight back with "Illya Kuryakin."

RIP Ducky.
