Hi Guys, been a while since I checked in but like the new forum layout.

Just got back from a week in the French Alps baseing ourselves again in Bourg St Maurice. We did cheat a bit this time; I used my work transit custom van to transport the Street Triple and MT10 out there. Drove the 600+ miles from England in a day and the same back in under 9 hours....which we would have never managed on the bikes, especially as the MT needs fuel every 120 miles.

Once in Bourg there are fantastic roads in virtually every direction. Italy and Switzerland are close by and many great cols. This was more of a holiday with bikes rather than a touring holiday, much more relaxed with no set itinerary as we stopped in a nice chalet on the Huttopia campsite which I highy recommend.

Here are a few pics mostly of the wife with her Triumph (It is a Triumph forum) Have to say after a year I'm still totally addicted to the Yamaha MT10 pity it so thirsty.

Mrs on her Street (mostly) and my mate on his GS heading to the top of the Col de Liseran which is about an hours ride from our base in Bourg.

You are very lucky to live in such a fantastic area. Take it you ski in the winter?

Loving the trip, I really must get off my rear and go and do something like this. I promise myself every year but work family etc etc get in the way. The video of your wife riding is a really great addition to this thread, as said the camera is set up perfectly for the stunning background and of course the main subject your wife :)

May I ask, what camera did you use? I have been looking at the Ghost 4k only because it looks great however I know nothing about them.

Yes I do Ski, I am an Italian certified Ski Instructor and I also own a Hotel in Cervinia. Our main economy is skiing in the winter.

I would not bring a bike here in the winter. The roads are very slippery.
The skiing is still open in the Summer though and the biking is great.
We have plenty of garage space for bikes.
