I have done some checking on those gauges and they are prone to vibration fluctuations..
The liquid Manometers are preferred for motorcycles.

I have a Morgan Carbtune which was very useful back in the day when I did my own servicing (too lazy now). My Mk1 SV650 needed doing annually to keep it running sweet and with just the two cylinders to do it was peasy. You can see up to four cylinders at once which is a bit quicker than 2-1 then 2-3 in this case but it is a bit more money than a home made obviously.

I would link to their website but it's absolutely rubbish!

Is that the REAL wife and not one from the list of lucky, potential candidates from the Babes and Bikes thread?;)

Quite right, too, to do those cabinets - you've spent far too much time AND MONEY playing with that nasty, smelly old motorcycle ...........

    :D:p:eek:

    Ron.
Nothing wrong with looking at the menu. As long as you are eating the meal at home. I myself find myself guilty but after 30 odd years I still get excited about going home. Its got to be Love or is it that Tracy is a nurse and she looks after my meds..

I'd venture to suggest that if some of US ever find out where your home is we'll be 'lighting the blue touch paper' with a word in someone's shell like, and retiring to a very safe distance! Just for the hell of it.:D:eek:

Nah, not really, mate, but it's good to yank the chain every now and then ........

Now get back in that kitchen.

Well, I finally got the 12 cabinets refinished. Going to start working on the bike again this evening.
I need to verify I eliminated the fuel leak, make the manometer and get going on the research on the valve check. I also ordered some indicator stems from Sprint Manufacturing, going to reuse the originals but change all the stems. Thanks for that link @Adie P . Change the Tires or Tyres despite that spelling setting off my spell check. lol. I got the proper tool for getting the tires off, I did not have an hex key socket that was 12mm.

The thought NEVER crossed my mind, Ron .........o_O And I wouldn't be so dishonourable.

I have, however, offered her a fair sum to augment the insurance payout she'll get from your life cover.:p

Good choice to retain the original indicators if you can, though the repro's from Sprint are VERY good copies.

What's the record? Remember, I'm a yank. We can talk and talk and talk and talk. Now true, we make a bit more sense while doing so than some of the, shall I say, Brits who are imbibing in beer. But that's because isn't as good as I have frequently been told. ;)

    2. No you don't .... as you say you are a Yank, you can't even spell Tyre correctly!
    3. To prove my point on point 2. - please go back and view your Happy Birthday to @Dozers Dad thread!
    4. We have proper beer :yum, not the cat piss that gets sold over there :poop:.

Now get back in that garage & work on the Speedy before I get Matron round again to give you meds in her special way o_O:eek::eek:

To be honest, It's getting to the point I kind of look forward to the visits from the Matron now.
She got the British accent, starts telling me I been a bad boy and need to be punished and all.
Kinda adds a higher octane to the motor if you know what I mean. ;).
So, I think i'll sit here and wait for Matron @Bad Billy . I ain't going. Nope.
Waiting for the Matron and me "Punishment". :grinning:
