I've lost the RH side panel from my T120 - replacement cost is £135 inc. decal FFS ! Dealer says they'll do it for £120, which is better, but even so. However, I've just come across small leather side bags, which are mounted on an aluminium plate and pop into the holes originally used for the panel as a direct replacement/alternative and they're £120 also (from squaredeals). Now, it's not normally something I'd consider if I hadn't lost the original panel, but at the same price...? My worry is that it's a bit "hipsterish man-bag" (no offence) for me, but what do others think ? Has anybody got one ?
DD - you're right mate - side panel it is. Even my missus who normally takes zero interest in anything bike-related said "really - you sure?" when she saw the pic.
Just me then.... I like the man bag (waiting for the barage of stick). I would prefer it in Brown though. I am looking for one for my bike instead of the usual ugly tank bag or panniers. I only want to pop a lock in it etc. Last time i checked, the side panel & bag was ony compatible with the T100. When i enquired they said fixtures were different, can anyone confirm this.
Shame there isn't a hard side panel that you can slot a few tools (more than an allen key!) and things like, tyre plugs, bulbs, fuses etc. inside
According to squaredeals website, it is available for both left and right sides (except Scrambler I think) and is also available in brown. Enjoy !
I always gravitated to the cheapo overseas emerging nation amazon bag solution, $20-40 USD on average and endless choices. Here is an example (not mine) for idea generation. imo...120GBP can have a more meaningful impact on your bike like parts, tune, or gear.
