Hi all, After flipping my standard Street Cup ace bars and riding the bike for 50+ miles I have established that the handlebar angle and position is too uncomfortable (as is the standard factory position). I therefore plan to change the bars for Renthals the same as or similar to the Street Twin. Does anyone know the Renthal equivalent or have recommendations based on a more comfortable Street Twin like riding position? I already have Street Twin clamps and know I will also need a long clutch cable and brake line. Thanks in advance Geoff
If you change your bar clamps to 1 1/8” then you’ll have all the options in the world, including Renthal, but the standard clamps don’t really allow for a lot of options. British Customs do a Pro Taper set as well as a cheaper tracker bar. https://britishcustoms.com/collecti...ts/products/pro-taper-bar-kit-for-street-twin https://britishcustoms.com/collecti...handlebar-kits/products/tracker-handlebar-kit
In the end I fitted Renthal 758 Road Ultra Low 7/8 bars using Street Twin clamps and an extended clutch cable. I rode the bike 160 miles yesterday and am pleased with more comfortable and upright riding position.
