    Hi all,

I have a Speed Twin and want to replace the rear suspension and lower the rear a little bit.
I searched on this forum and found for example the YSS shocks, and also the TEC shocks. What are the experiences with this shocks? Do you have photo's of it on a Speed Twin?

Does anyone know the offical measurements of the original rear shocks?
For example this website says it is 390mm: https://www.britishlegends.fr/en/yss-dampers-speed-twin.html?id=191893014 . But when i'm measuring, it is between 385/388.

    Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your reply. I've mailed the website britishlegends.fr and they think these are the right measurements, the same as Thruxton. But I've heard the Thruxton shocks are longer, so it is a gamble.... On the YSS website the Speed Twin measurements are not available on this moment :-(.

Hi and welcome. I think @darkman on here said they were 385mm?

Just as a note the top eye bush mount hole is 16mm that slides over pin on frame and lower is 10mm bolt thats goes through the shock bush, i used a 16 x 20 x 10mm hole spacer in the lowers as they came with 16mm top n bottom.

Another note, i used RZ362-370TRL-02-X YSS rear shocks with 46 20 30 240 springs for my weight, these are + or - 10mm and they came with inserts for 14mm and by removing the top insert it gives you 16mm for top fitting and you use a 20 x 16 x 10mm hole spacer in the bottom.

YSS are adjustable shock length, usually +-5mm
