Rear Huggers On 800 Xrx

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on rear huggers on an xrx 800 ? There seems to be 2 sizes, one that finishes at the 10 o'clock position and one that finishes at the 12 o'clock are either any good or would I be better just fitting a shock shield ?

I have this one on my Xrx. Doesn't stop all the crap (it seems to find it's way onto the top of the hugger!) but better than without.

I have the same as @steve lovatt , it works but a load of shit ends up on top of it. Beware the screws holding it on seizing in the swinging arm, previous owner hadn’t taken the necessary precautions, sorted the 2 on the chain side but still to sort the ones that the brake hoses clip to
