Took both the Evotech radiator guards off the bike this morning, the fan was coming on more often and for longer recently so figured I would see if some cleaning was in order Yes it was needed Took some video using a thermal camera of the radiator after the initial wash and gentle use of a tooth brush, can't post here due to file size but will put something on the YouTube channel The video shows a distinctive vertical band of heat retention when the fan kicked in, so some more effort was needed with the hose, but also the low pressure leaf blower with narrow attachment. No damage at all to any fins I got a lot more crud out that I couldn't see and a second video shows a nice even spread of heat When the fan kicks in it is impressive to see the heat drop from 99+c to 45c which shows up as a dark circle using the thermal camera I also found the left panel was not replaced correctly after the service recently, the front fixing completey missed it's pin, the indicator wire was crushed completely flat! and the wire was hanging loose near the engine header, where it should've been The bayonet clip was also missing
Totally agree, but they don't do them for the 2016 R Do for the S though I think it is because it is carbon fibre I had one on my 2010 Speed iii and it worked great
Good work with the thermal camera there but I really think if you want to ride off road you should consider a Tiger
