It's the bikers code, the nod that is. Doesn't it p!$$ you off the discourtesy of those that don't. Like this chap today on the Uppingham Road on the outskirts of Corby. The first fellow nodded. Not the second though Look carefully or you'll miss it.
Yes I always give a nod. But don't really get to bothered if it is not returned. To busy riding my bike and loving it. Went out today trip to Dorchester. I was coming home to Burnham and you know I felt so good I think I rode around every little side road there left home at 10am got back about 1800pm. Don't know where I went but I guessed I'd never been there before. Even earlier pulled into Hughenden M40 shop was closed but the chief mechanic was there waiting for his colleague to return with a bike and he made me a cracking cup of coffee. That pretty good for a Sunday And as it was the first time I have been out for a ride on my own since the new year for personal reasons. Ride Free Joe.
Well I’ll have to admit the first time I passed a 20 bike ride out going the other way I thought my head was going to fall off after about bike 15 so now I don’t nod to all of them, let them think what they want about me! Don’t ask me how many of them nodded back after the first 5 my vision was all blurred too.
Hey guys, it's not a serious comment. Like I said, look carefully in case you miss it .... ... rather than nod his bonce he nodded his bike ...
I always nod at fellow bikers and its no bother if they don't nod back. They are not being rude for not nodding back. Could be new rider.....probably not noticed your nod.......too busy enjoying his/her ride
The leg out isn't that Continental. We were over in Holland a few years ago and all the riders seemed to do that same as Germany. And again a group of riders I just flash the lights day time only to say I'm here and stick a hand up. Its always seemed right. Ride safe Joe.
ContactSC. At least you tried. But I wont be doing any wheelies for any one. When I had my Sprint on the odd occasion I forgot it did stupid things like that. I ended up carrying spare pants and lots of deodorant with me. Wheelie Good Joe
On a hardtail i think it may be difficult to tell if i am nodding....or just look like my head is about to fall off.
The folk who I'm not keen on are those who, when you nod at them, they just stare back at you as they pass, like you had just crapped in their helmet. Fair enough, you don't want to nod back, but no need to make it that obvious!
Out for a ride on Sunday, I gave a nod to a guy on a scooter and he almost flung himself off in an over enthusiastic reply....did make me smile.
