My 2018 Street Triple R (14000 miles), has a 'Ducati type rattle, when I start up from cold. Only lasts for a few seconds, then goes and vanishes during riding.
    Any thoughts please ?

    Camchain tensioner.
Both my 675R and my 765RS do this after a long lay up.
It appears more pronounced if you had parked them up on the side stand as opposed to paddock stands probably due to oil drainage.
10 or 20 seconds of idle usually sees the noise disappear.

    Sounds right.
I keep the Tiger on it's centre stand but the other two only have side stands, so I put a block of wood underneath to keep them nearly upright.

Hi there, new here. So, this is normal? Even for a brand new motorcycle? Just got a brand new Street Triple RS (23/24) and this is already happening if I don't start it for a day or two. Really freaked me out the first time it happened as this never happened during the two years I had my Trident 660. Thanks in advance for any replies. Really need some reassurance here. :worried:
