    Hi all.
Got out for my first ride on my 08 1050 today. Roads were still terrible, but just couldnt wait any longer!
Does anyone know if triumph do quick action throttle tubes on any of their sportier models (675/tt600...) if so would they fit my 1050?
I have a z900 tube on my zx9r, it makes a huge ammount of difference to the bike.
    Cheers.
    Steve. :)

As an eager apprentice to all things Triumph...what is a "quick action throttle tube"!?

I have a reasonable idea as I am in the throes of changing bar grips so am aware there is a throttle tube on one side....

My 2002 triple 955efi has always had a bit of a snatchy throttle...hopefully remedied by various maintenance tasks, including a new throttle cable...and removal of my heated grips that restricted the throttle response ...

But...to hear there is "more than just a plastic tube"...I'm intrigued!

    Please educate me....

Throttle tubes have varying diameters at the cable pull end.
Thicker leads to a shorter twist of the throttle to get the carb or injector butterflies to fully open. MX bikes and race bikes can be 1/8th of a turn. Road bikes usually over half a turn or more to full throttle.
    Hope that helps!

Yes it works well. I have the 1050 tube on my street triple. Well the boy fitted it as it is quicker than the 675 one and sharper action. So he says.
    Regards
    Joe.

I’ve got the 1050 tube on my Daytona. It makes a real difference to low down throttle control plus I can get full throttle without having to reposition my hand.
A definite improvement over stock. Not sure if it’ll fit on your 2002 @DanielB
I think yours is a twin cable throttle isn’t it?
