Using my 900mm bar to release a sprocket nut but it gave very quickly, and crushed my little finger between the bar and tank I was wearing workshop gloves so would have been worse Bloody hurt but first thought was 'is the tank damaged'...not a scratch thank goodness Withdrew my hand from the glove rather tenderly and I can see the blood as it spread under the nail! Lots of pressure but I knew what needed doing Got my Dremil, fixed the smallest bit I could and after cleansing it in alcohol (wiskey) I made a small hole through the nail. Released the pressure and able to carry on. Wife said it isn't normal to drill holes in your fingers, should have gone to doctored or ER (Saturday afternoon!) I think they have other things to do I just thought it was the normal thing to do and saves a trip to the quacks. Any self DIY repairs you guys have done on yourselves?
Double ouch, one for the initial impact and one for the dremel on your fingernail. Think I will stay away from your surgery, lol
Self surgery plenty of times, i think the most rewarding was two things, supergluing cuts together at work for years and getting ridiculed for it then finding an article in the paper about a new technique using it to attach skin grafts and brandishing that at work and then.. Sticking a needle in a massive ganglion on my finger and squeezing it out, who knew synovial fluid was such a jelly like substance!
