I absolutely agree with a petition, but I’m confused. Change.org appears to be American??
    Can someone explain

For anyone who doesn't know :cool:
In the First World War, the government decided that all soldiers would be buried where they fell, because they did not want the wealthy to return their dead to the UK whilst the poor could not. For want of a grave to visit, communities collected money and built memorials where they could mourn and grieve. In the Second World War, many did not return, and often their names were added for the same reason and purpose. They are effectively gravestones and deserve to be respected :neutral:

Hmmm. Unless your MP is Jamie Stone.

Wrote to him once. Got a really nice letter back saying "Mr Stone is on holiday." and that was that.

I met him a few years back when he was an MSP at a Poppy Day launch. He was very jovial and busy ‘pressing the flesh’ and seemed disappointed I didn’t know who he was. I looked him up to find he had worked in fish gutting and oil. “Yes,” I thought, “Extraction industries and now he is mining the taxpayer.”

Yes just registered. I wonder who collects all the donations and just how it gets spent. We could see a lot of people driving around in new cars and mortgages paid. The politicians in this country I don't think give a hoot about our heritage they just like collections.
    Regards
    Joe

I do not think anyone should be an m.p unless they have served in the armed forces.
