    Hey all,
I'm new to biking as you all probably know, so a simple question, when my missus rides pillion on my Bonnie, should I adjust the preload or not?
I weigh 12st, my trouble and strife 9st, combined 21st or around 130kg...
The manual says to adjust to 5, it's set at 2 by default I think, but talking to a biker the other day he was telling me that as far as he knows most riders don't bother adjusting it, I've had her on the back a couple of times, she says it feels ok, but do I risk damaging the suspension if I don't adjust, does it matter? Or should I adjust it maybe only for all day runs?
Any opinions or advice much appreciated

Probably best bang it up to the recommended settings as thats what they`re there for, excess weight...even your tiny missus will push the swingarm up thus shortening the chain length. Check it out by both sitting on the bike and with the aid of a stick with a nail through or some other devise check the chain movement...
