I’ve never heard of them being called crown corks before either. Is that a colloquialism from your part of the world?
Crown corks were invented in Baltimore, 1860summat. They look like a crown upside down, and they replaced corks... Hence Crown Cork. Most folk call them bottle crowns... Used to make my own beer. Canst tell? Nowadays I don't drink... Sad, innit? Incidenturalilly, our nearest aldi is a 200 mile round trip....
I’m happy to shop at Aldi, some of the shit is less shittier shit than the shitty shit you get somewhere else!!! Not worth 200 mile round trip though
No, I agree... But to be honest our nearest tesco/lidl is a 76 mile round trip... Thanks be for online shopping! Home delivery for a fiver? Cheaper than the fuel to get it yourself, and none of the hassle. Lidl have some nice beers in at the moment. Not that I drink it any more....
