A lot of us lay our bikes up in winter so why not get some extra use out of it and turn into a coffee table during the off season. Currently working on this. In draft at the moment but plans are afoot to have the top in clear acrylic.
What make is the booster plug you've used and who did you buy it from? I've got one fitted to my Street Twin and to be honest I'm not sure it made any difference but it certainly hasn't made things worse. If you got it from TEC Parts (they don't make it, only sell it), I would contact George Milburn and explain the problem. He's always helpful. For those that don't know, it's pretty straightforward to plug in but where you mount the sensor is the important bit. I've poked mine inside the air intake (so to speak ). I think Stuart Fillingham (the chap that makes the T120 vids..worth watching if you can put up with his tedious voice) has mounted his on part of the frame, under the side panel. It needs to receive a stream of cool air, so away from the engine. The best place is at the front of the bike but the cable would need extending to reach that far, something the manufacturer should have thought of.
I purchased mine directly from booster plug, so it’s not a knock off, hell maybe it would have been better if it was who knows.
Youst finished shortening and heated the titanium for a cooler look on the low boy silencer. And i cut out the dp killer from it for a sweeter sound
In this period of downtime I decided to fit my LSL Superbike bars to the Daytona 1200. Can't get out to test it yet but feels like a great mod just sitting on it, my old back can't take the original ergos anymore!
Couple more add ons done to the Speedy. Rizoma club indicators, small and much more discreet, but still very bright. Love the look!! And engine case sliders. Bolts that came with the sliders were black, and I loved the look so I ordered black bolts for the rest to match. Really like how it all ties in. Still more mods to do, but got to space them out a little so the wife doesn’t kill me. In reality she’s very cool about it, and supportive of my hobbies.
Love the new indicators, good choice. A big improvement over the originals. The engine protection is pretty discrete, it took me a moment before l spotted it.
Definitely more discreet than most. Not sure if it provides the same level of protection, but gotta be better than nothing. Hopefully I’ll never find out!

MotoDVR system. Takes video on impact and ability to take photos and videos front and back simultaneously. USB power or hardwired, writes to 64Gb microSD. GPS for location and speed recording.
Upgraded the small pillion seat using my original and using the old one as a backrest Will need some more work to straighten the rake, but Mrs Dartplayer loves the comfort
With national lockdown keeping us at home, I thought other street twin riders may be interested in a few mods I've made to my June 2019 model. TEC X-pipe decat; Made a big difference to both bottom and mid-range acceleration with a much improved sound through the standard exhausts. Also reduced heat build-up and saved a little weight. Good value for money and recommended TEC paddock stand bobbins: Made using a paddock possible. TEC/DNA air filter Improved throttle response and acceleration. I also removed the snorkel which resulted in more noise but negligible performance increase. Recommended. Hagon 2810 progressive rear shocks: Standard shock are pretty appalling, especially two-up. The Hagon units with adjustable damping are easy to set up and adjust between solo/pillion settings. My wife commented on the improvement within minutes. Recommended Hagon progressive fork springs: The hagon rear shocks also highlight the poor standard forks. I'm hoping their progressive fork springs make a similar improvement to the front once I fit them. TEC Booster plug: I was intending to fit the TEC camshaft, in the expectation that this would improve the top end in the same way the filter/X-pipe has transformed the bottom/mid-range. The 2019+ street twin camshaft is apparently a similar profile to the TEC, one and TEC told me not to bother. Instead they recommended the booster plug. This is somewhat expensive item with mixed reviews Having installed it Christmas eve, the roads were too busy and greasy to give it a proper test. It seemed to improve acceleration. Will have to wait for warmer weather and dry roads with a proper back-to-comparison ride to be sure.
Latest and probably last aesthetic mods I’ll do to the Speed Twin. With the exception of the motodemic headlight, that’s definitely in my future! Recent additions are black ceramic coated exhaust. Black powder coated bar risers, headlight brackets, heal guards, front and rear foot pegs. Rizoma headlight fairing. Couldn’t be happier with how things turned out!
Blimey, next time I come all that way South I'll ride pillion with you. I'll bring a blanket zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
