Friends.. I'll be looking at replacing the front pads on my 995i in the near future, and just wondering what people are using, Its only road use, so not looking for track day braking, have used Carbon Lorraine, EBC HH and SBS, but have heard that Triumph disc's can suffer from using a more aggressive pad. So thought I'd ask you guys first...
Hi Nick, as a general rule sintered pads (EBC HH etc) are harder on the disc surface; whereas organic pads (like Triumph ones) are more progressive and less aggressive on the disc. I prefer the feel of organic pads as you can use them with greater sensitivity and finesse, however they probably don't have the same ultimate stopping distance. Because I ride like an old fart most of the time organic pads suit my riding style.
Hi Nick, here's a link to what I hope is your model/year bike and the pads : http://bikes.ebcbrakeshop.co.uk/inf...el=Daytona+955i&year=05-06&search=Part+Number
When racing tried every pad going on t595. Best by far was OE Triumph pad. Good wet or dry, no fade, lasted a long time and kind to the disc More expensive, but cheaper in the long run. A bit like fairy liquid lol.
