Apparently you can change the whole colour of your bike/car with this stuff :)
And you don’t have to tell DVLA because it’s temporary :grinning:

    Applied 4 coats altogether :)
Gotta slightly textured look but I’m happy enough with the finish :)

How about when you bolt it back on, what effect will the bolts or washers have on the finish as they revolve as you tighten ?

Time will tell I suppose o_O

Did you buy the chrome finishers and Nudger didn't like them?

Is it true - it will peel off?

They are already fitted to the bike :)
I want to remove the chrome parts and rear seat from the back end of the bike when not needed giving it more of a Bobber look
But when these bits are removed it looks like a mechano set underneath :(
This way (hopefully) I get the look I’m after and can easily revert to standard when I need to :p

Oh I didn't know they were separate to the rail, I thought they were joined. Excellent that means the sissy bar can stay attached to the mounting rail now and all come off in one piece. DB is away to play with his Spanner! :p

:) Well that’s them fitted
    Ooooh BLACK
Ok it’s not the best picture but you get the idea :)
I put washers on the two bolts on each side of the bike and this stopped the plastidip from twisting and separating from the chrome :)
Take note though @Der Baron that when you tighten the rear of the two bolts because the rail is now missing it pulls the rear of the finisher hard against the mudguard:eek:
Dunno if would do any damage  but rather than take the chance I inserted washers where the rail would sit and this holds the tail end of the finisher away from the mudguard :) 4EA3078C-652D-4765-ADF7-8FC5EF939856.jpeg

Yes mate that looks cool. Washers applied, what I also did was coppaslip every bolt that went back in, as they don't appear to bother their holes at the factory, but anything to avoid premature rust creep.

Sure enough, awesome stuff!! I’ve used it quite a bit, over the years. I’ve done different bits on my car, did the hood but didn’t like the texture (didn’t apply it heavy enough) so I peeled it off and tried again.
