Well, Ive been trying to sell the street triple r on ebay now for about a month & I`m guessing that no one has any money....at all....ever this side of summer anyway......I thought I had it up for a reasonable price but some 15 plate later versions were struggling to reach £3600. I see the new Kawasaki z900 rs up the bike show in November & I fell in love with it so it was always my plan to sell one of my Triumphs & splash some cash. ( obviously not the Thruxton...That`s for keeps even when it`s the only thing I can get my leg over) !!!!! Well people....I test rode it last week & WOW what an extraordinary bike it is. So easy on the eye & very, very easy to ride. Great torque even with me keeping it below 4000 revs as it wasnt run in yet. The snatchy throttle low down coming off of bends all the reviews said about I struggled to find. I asked the guy in the shop to price up my str while I was gone & if I`m honest given the state of ebay right now I wasnt expecting anywhere near what I thought was fair, but I was pleased as punch with the offer he made. (Not telling you how much though). So there you have it & coming to a warm garage soon in the only colour for true retro bikes of the Kawasaki Z1 era........ candy red/brown. In nearly 40 years of biking the only other Kwacker Iv`e owned was an ER5 that did a sterling job of getting me to & from work. But this beauty won`t be going anywhere near work that`s for certain.....Can`t wait....Roll on summer or any other day that`s dry enough to go for a blast down memory lane
Demo bike....Not keen on matt colour.....Ya gotta be able to make em shine boy....You know it makes sense
Cheers Kel.....Iv`e had a few new bikes in my time but I ain`t been this excited since I purchased my Suzuki GS750 EN back in 1979!!!!!!
Know what you mean about selling, I tried for weeks on all the usual sites to sell my FZ1, no, it was a good bike before anyone says anything, lol, so I could look for a Speed Triple, let it go for less than I really wanted but worth it now I'm the proud owner of the Triumph
Bought mine in 79 reg was DMC 750V. Some 30 years later by accident i found the guy who was the 2nd owner he had pictures to prove it too.. .. Went from a from rs125 yam to that.. Big jump
No they don't but im sure someone will. Clever trick from kawasaki is that from certain angles the brown/orange have polished mags on the side that look a a bit like spokes.
