    Hi,

I've just purchased a speed triple and am thinking of purchasing a paddock stand for the rear wheel.

Any help would be appreciated as I really have no idea (confused by the single swinging arm). new concept for me.

I use a standard one.. Buy the cotton reels off eBay and place through the rear wheel..
Only issue with this type is you can't take the rear wheel off.
Other options are central pick up I beleive Bry uses one of these which lifts the bike from the frame and a single sided rear paddock stand...

Rear Colton wheels, also ptotect the rear of the bike.

    Central paddock stand.

Pretty sure you know what a normal paddock stand looks like.

I use a single sided paddock stand, loads of manufacturers do them. The important thing to check is the diameter of the pin that inserts through the rear axle.

Ordered mine at a Triumph dealership Pidcocks Nottingham. It works ok, you insert the pin of the stand through the rear axle, tighten a hand wheel on the end of the spindle that locks the pin into the axle, then simply push the arm of the stand to the floor which lifts the wheel.

The only downside about the single side stand is that the bike feels a little less stable than a double sided stand as screwball uses, the bike rocks a little side to side with the flex in the metal of the stand and if you are buying one of this type you go for a robust braced type.

I had a single sided paddock stand (braced ali job - very strong) when I had my first Speed, I thought it lifted the bike ok but the bike always seemed to sit slightly twisted? I didn't want to put unnecessary strain on the bearings in the swingarm so I bought some R&G rear wheel spindle jobbies and now use a standard stand - works well. A mate lent me an ABBA stand, again a good piece of kit but I think they are £100 ish new now?

The Abba stand is brilliant. Easy to use and extremely stable. It's a bit expensive but well worth the money.
