If i want to remove/adjust chain on the road & carry them in the tool bag under seat, where can i get the spanners 24mm & 19mm (i believe) to remove axle nut? I presume if at home you would use a socket set after removing the exhausts to gain access. Luckily i have have a Scottoiler fitted which will limit adjustment times, but in the event of a puncture/problem i'm knackered. Useful advice please & yes i'm in the AA but i like to be independent.
Hi TP and welcome in. I'm assuming you're talking about doing this on a Bonny? You will need ring spanners of appropriate size, to slacken the axle and open ended spanners for the adjusters to set chain tension.
Yes its for the Bonnie, but i'm concerned where can i get this items in the uk, without resorting to Ebay
Go straight to your nearest Halfords and they'll have it all in stock. Just remember these are not Triumph tools, they're just spanners . Buy the spanners, wrap them up in a leather tool bag and fasten to the bike, job done. Here's one just as an example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leather-m...hash=item3cd0b3c18d:m:mLE_gJxIe5FZL9OrgAqZjlA
if youre looking at repairing a puncture, if you have tubed tyres you will need tyre levers, inner tube and a source of air or if tubeless a repair kit, at least you won't have to remove the wheel
Just go to Halfords. If you don't have a reasonably complete spanner collection http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/tools/tool-kits/halfords-25-piece-combination-spanner-set I have this and find it good. Look for it being on sale, makes a considerable differance to price Just looked at the advert that is on sale. Makes it £2 per spanner I just then carry the ones I need around with me as and when I need to.
