Old Biker--newer Bike

    Hi ya all,
    Matthew here, you can call me Muttly..2003 Speed 4 recently added to my myriad of things to do !! Bike # 28 in my life.. Bike last ran in 2022, changed fittings under tank.. now I can't hear fuel pump come on.. kinda damaged fuel pump harness plug removing it.. Can I check for power thru harness without it being connected ? Thanx Muttly

    Hi and welcome only just seeing your post and question if you haven't had an answer yet and not sorted the problem if the multi plug is accessible and there are two pins intact you should be able to use any type of multi meter to check for power obviously it just needs one probe on each terminal as you would normally hear your pump kick in as soon as you turn the ignition on this should be the case with the meter registering power if not well the problem is from the ignition to the terminal plug check fuses first sometimes or rather quite often it's the simplest things that we overlook
