Good to be here, I’ve already got useful info from this forum. I just took the plunge and bought this newish T120 Bonneville, I love it (but am still getting used to the upside down back to front gear change) - the photo also shows the first 'big' bike I bought after passing my bike test in 1981, a 1973 T140 750cc and I’ve been riding that and a '74 Norton Commando that I bought in 1982 ever since. I’ve got to say what a great job Triumph have done on being sympathetic to the breed with these new Bonnevilles, the T120 really is a wonderful bike to ride and has the grin factor that I still get when riding the old classics.

It's great to have the two Bonnevilles next to each other, something we rarely see. For me there is absolutely no contest, the 1973 T140 is so much better looking. Slimmer, lighter, lower and probably more agile. Ok, reliability not be up to modern T120 standards but by having both you've got the best of both worlds. I am envious!
